To my best friend Josh,

You were the greatest friend that anyone could have.  You were always there with your wonderful smile and your sometimes corny jokes to make our days brighter.  I will never forget the good times we shared together, from backpacking for two weeks in New Mexico and standing on top of the world side-by-side, to working together on the barn and other projects for two years.  You were always there to laugh at me when I did something dumb, which was just about every minute, as I was there for you.  We were always cracking jokes at the expense of each other but that is what made our friendship so special and unforgettable.

It comforts me to know that you will always be around.  I will miss backpacking and camping with you in person but I will carry you with me, in spirit, forever.  Whenever I do something dumb I will hear your laughter in the wind and see your bright smile in the skies.  I thought of you like a brother because we had so much in common no matter how much you tried to deny it.  I feel very fortunate and blessed for having known you and being a part of my life.  You were truly unique, special, and one of a kind.  If I ever have a son I would be proud to name him after you Joshua.  Yes, you are probably laughing at me right now but you just watch, one day I’ll get married and have kids!
